Sorry, no vampire characters. Edit: As to their abilities, the Vigil doesn't know the whole story. What is very apparent is that they are extremely fast, extremely strong and extremely resilient. The stake to the heart thing is a myth. Cut their heads off (that requires some doing, because they aren't merely, 'athletic' fast, they are inhuman in all respects as regards their physical capabilities) and they die, do enough trauma to them and they die, but they can generally manage to escape if they are wounded and come back later to rip that human apart for their temerity. And that's a policy with them. Their blood is highly addictive; it has a euphoric and stimulant effect, but also makes them heavily addictive and easily ordered around by their masters; such humans, called Thralls lack willpower when it comes to their addiction and are known to be particularly vicious in hopes of impressing their masters. The kiss, the bite, is how they change people from human to vampire, but it's intentional and controlled very carefully -- the human has to be brought to the edge of death and then fed vampire blood. Sunlight, of course, destroys them. UV light disorients them and pisses them off. There are reported incidents of vampires exhibiting abilities beyond the norm, such as psychic phenomena, but it is not a widespread thing that has been consistently observed. Speculation exists as to what, precisely, these abilities can be if they actually exist.
