Usually context will tell you if something is a title. If you feel there might be some uncertainty, you can just explain it in the rp or refer to your title person as "The (title)" enough that people get the jist.

That being said, I think it would be a good idea to borrow things from other apps. The territory might be large enough to hold multiple cultures, but but as a general rule we should still be using similar ideas so it seems like we all exist in the same world at least. The more references you borrow or make, the more the RP will feel like a living world rather than a vague canvass for a bunch of random posts. Bonus points if you especially borrow from people who neighbor you.
