Some three hours passed uneventfully when she heard the alarm sound off in the distance, coming from where the games were to take place. Something terrible must have happened. Not too soon after, there was a small crowd of people quickly running away from the direction of the arena. Amy grabbed one by the shoulder. "What's going? Why's the alarm sounding?" "They lost control of one the animals and it's loose! A bloody mess it is! The stadium is in shambles and an evoker was taken into custody!" "A wild animal got loose and an evoker was taken into custody you say?" "Yes, that's what I said! I am sorry but I must go! I don't want to be out here when that creature decides to poke its head in the open!" She watched them run away and she felt an unnatural chill running through her body. The sensation reminded her of a time at the Southern Borders where Idris's shadow was everywhere. An entire village, razed to the ground with not a single soul spared because the villagers were housing and hiding an evoker. She later found the evoker's body, singled out in the middle of the village, defiled utterly and found out not too long later that there was nothing that could be done but bury the dead. How much sway did the Order of Idris hold since she left the capital? She heard stories of what they did to evokers. She didn't think they were actually true until she saw how they treated evokers with her own eyes. Were they responsible for the arrest? She bit her lips. She hate to admit it but the number of Idrisians was becoming more commonplace ever since she returned to the capital. If Idris had inflitrated much of Othean society, then how much longer could she realistically stay in Othea? Before she could dwell on the subject longer, one of her guards spoke up. "We should evacuate people from the streets." "Good idea, we don't need anymore bloodshed on what is suppose to be a celebatory day...can I trust you for this job for the moment?" "Me? Of course! But why?" "I want to go ahead and find out what's going. I'll be back soon." "Don't go looking for the beast!" "I'll try not to."
