I've never actually taken part in a survival RP so could you explain how it would work. It doesn't have to be a lenghty explanation I'll probably figure it out once it starts I'd just like an idea on what the posts would be like.
Well, honestly I've never been in one. Or, at least, never one quite like this. First of all, your character WILL have stats that affect them in survival and in combat. These would be things like Health, Agility, and Stamina. No dice needed. You can have as much freedom in your posts as your situation will allow. Oxygen is based upon an "hourly" consumption. So let's say that, for example, every 5 posts is one "hour"; you would lose...say...1 out of 12 hours of your oxygen. Supply getting too low? Go harvest some ice and use the yet-to-be-named device to separate and filter the Oxygen. It's more simple than it sounds, trust me. Radiation would also work on an "hourly" scale, but also prints "marks" to your character. Let's say you're caught outside when the local star rises over the horizon; you've been marked. Then say you moved into a cave and went deeper underground; you still have one mark. Now, let's say you've decided to come back up to the surface at mid-day, and you step out in the light; you instantly receive two marks of radiation. You're now at three marks...and let's say that at three marks, you now have Moderate Radiation Poisoning - your character's skin will burn, and they'll also have a statistical debuff that I forgot. And hunger...ehhh...debating.
