That's a valid point there. Hmm...what if they became really good friends after Mori saved Ryan from Topeka, but then their relationship had to change due to Mori becoming an alpha. So maybe Ryan still treats her as his best friend, and expects her to be ok with whatever he does. So Mori is kind of torn apart between being his friend, and being a leader. Still not enough conflict? :P That's all I can think of right now, but I might get a better idea later.
