I'm already seeing how the lines are going to be drawn in a future civil war (if we ever get that far in this RP): -On the side of defending the city we have Alexandra, the Nobles supporting her, Kolya and Eponine (if she betrays Maria). -On the side fighting against the city for various reasons are Chloe, Maria, any Nobles she convinces to join her, Shadow Compact and Eponine (if she stays loyal). And in the middle there's Violetta, who probably chooses whichever side is most likely to win.
Interesting, I wrote Eponine to be fairly easy to understand, almost mechanical and robotic even, but her position as Maria's subordinate, her worldview of absolute order, and the fact that she has a sister (who makes for a potential hostage for either side to take advantage of) makes Eponine's allegiance truly difficult to predict.
Won't lie, part of me wants Chloe to stay on the opposite side as Eponine because I think they'd make great rivals for various reasons. But another part of me thinks it'd be awesome if they pushed past their differences to fight for a common cause and became unlikely friends and this super awesome team. The fact that various circumstances exist that might lead to either option in the end is exciting. More RPs need this kind of tension.
I know what you mean. They have opposing worldviews, but if they do form a super awesome team, we should call it 'Blunt Force Trauma", since Eponine uses hammers, and Chloe uses gauntlets. EDIT: I also wanted to add that most of Eponine's forces are from her slums, meaning they are mostly North Africans: Moroccans, Libyans, Egyptians, and especially Algerians. They tend to keep to themselves and have preserved their culture to a certain extent, so many of them are even Muslims. Adrian is an exception, among several others, since Eponine does take ability into account. It's just that her own people are usually the ones most willing to follow her without question and with a fervent zeal even.
