Rayland finally made his way past the bridge archway after his chit-chat with Jack back there. Amazing how one can keep a face like that held together without and enhancements but more importantly and even more so logically why not restore it? The man's reason was silly at best and he'd rather not argue over that topic personal care. The Captain took noticed of the guide lights pulsating across the floors and walls though out the hallways of this ship and the new personnel humorously keeping their heads either down to the floor or the wall as they followed the resonating holographic arrow heads towards the Briefing room. He casually watched as some of the crewman bumped into each other as their senses were distracted by the guide lights, usually exchanging their apologies before grouping up to follow the same trail. One new member, a logistics officer from the looks of their uniform had accidentally collided into Rayland whom in turn spun around and queried if the Drakkas crewman was lost. The man insisted he was he new where he was going but his voice and toned hinted towards stress and anxiety but before Rayland could question him on this, he was already on his way following the holographic markers. Rayland with a blank face questioned if half of these new faces were even qualified much less competent. Upon his own arrival at the Briefing room, he could make out at least a few recognizable faces as well as some new ones to all spread out withing the theater like space. Some of the crew were quick to notice his entry and gave respectable nods or salutes for the more senior of them. Rayland made his way to the center stage where the main holotable remained untouched what seemed like a year or so with clear evidence of dust caking the surface; a fact that changed the moment he booted the machine up, clearing the surface with a soft surge of air. Rayalnd took his personal seat positioned conveniently behind the holotable which he was not much of a fan of due to its old unused age and non-ergonomic design. He kept telling himself that he would have that box-like throne uninstalled but apparently the chair's interfaces was tied down with the holotable and it was only a few years ago he was able to find a bypass command that allowed him and other senior personnel to operate the holotable normally without having to sit down on something so uncomfortable. He was sure the very first Captain of this ship hated to actually walk like average sapient biped. Taking a temporary load off, he interfaced with the console commands and downloaded the mission data to the holotable in front him. The smooth black surface of the table glowed and manifested a stream of light particles taking shape and eventually resembling the approaching Quox system and the Howling Sun's flotilla trajectory. Some of the personnel in the room with him waiting for the official meeting to begin took quick notice and intrigue to their current interstellar position and began to shift the conversations amongst themselves relevant if not slightly relateable to the mission at hand. Looking to the interface on his wrist, Rayland counted down fifteen minutes till the meeting began. Seeing as though there was small fraction of the personnel present in the room, he figured he would at least personally make a ship wide announcement himself. Unfortunately he left the duties of CO to a timely mannered VI who had conveniently and unintentionally intervened as Towan's voice filled the ship wide comms. “All crewman; a mandatory meeting concerning the current operation in-progress has been scheduled in the Briefing room in fifteen minutes. Guide lights for the Briefing room have been lit for new members for their convenience.” With a frown instantly appearing on his face, Rayland stepped down from making any moves to operate the comm systems and laid back into his very uncomfortable throne, grumbling as he awaited the arrival of the entire crew.
