There were several reasons that made today shoot to the top of Nathan's 'Weirdest day ever' list. The first one, involved him waking up in a forest. This in itself was strange, since not only did he live in the middle of an urban city, in a country not exactly known for its lush jungles, but he sure as hell did not go to sleep in a forest. So he was either kidnapped, fell into a wormhole, dreaming, or hallucinating. None of which were much too ideal. Secondly, this forest was just plain strange. He had literally just pulled a chunk of ham from the branches overhead, and Nathan really had no idea how to process that. Eating it was out of the question, definitely, but still, huh?! Thirdly, his phone was messing with him. "Thank you for taking the time to dial all of those numbers," his phone intoned, "unfortunately, your efforts were all for naught, as there is no one with this number in existence." So my contacts list is out... the young lad frowned, trying his various saved numbers, with much of the same results. Tat was problematic. Even more so was the lack of internet access. That was going to mess up his schedule for his online games. Something tapped his leg, causing Nathan to jump back with alarm and look at the source. It was... he honestly had no idea. a knee-high person wearing Japanese armour? It even had a wooden sword. "My apologies for startling you, good sir," the thing bowed slightly, speaking in a high-pitched voice, almost like a child's, "I am Kotemon. We are destined to be partners, so I hope we can get along." Nathan, of course, had several questions about this. It was difficult to decide whic held the most importance, and after a few moments of dazed contemplation, he simply asked, "What are you?" "Me, I am a Digimon," the Kotemon replied, "It is short for 'Digital Monster'." Ah, of course it was. Well, that was all Nathan needed to here. At the speed of a rather brisk walk, and definitely not a sprint in the opposite direction, Nathan walked away from the monster, in search of someone human. ...Oh god it was following him!
