Ya, Gentsai and his group convinced a few people from Edolas to join them on their departure. If you want a picture on how the titan (golem) looks like, [url=http://www.xenoblade.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Bionis.png]here[/url], it's about 800 meters tall. And your assumption is probably right.
