just a suggestion but how about instead of point loss, you win points for losing, but get even more for winning so like

Loss- 2 points
Draw- 7 points
Win- 12 points
Tournament Win- 25 points

or whatever, that will give everyone the incentive to keep playing as many battle as possible.
