[@JJ Doe] Thank you, dear, for those disturbing buns. I have written some comments about the submitted characters. This is not a ‘you are accepted’ thing, just my thoughts as I have read the character sheets again. [@bluejay_gl] I have seen this kind of character introduction before, in which the character itself talks. It adds an unexpected level of depth, as character interaction is mostly left to the actual story. I was quite intrigued about Wren’s relationship with the ‘General-In-Command’ and look forward to reading about that in the future. I feel that the biography is a bit lacking, even though it is perfectly fine in terms of quality. Perhaps you could revisit it when you feel inspired and add a little to it? Electric Frenzy: Spirits will never harm their chosen sanctuary, so this one would not damage Wren by being used through other means than her weapon. Clap of Thunder: I like this one a lot. You have chosen some clever combinations of things here that will prove useful. Acid Rain: I would like to see this as Water/Dark, considering the harmful connotations of acid and the quite sinister condition that you chose for it. [@clericbeast] Very elaborate with lofty language. I like this character for a number of reasons. One being the fact that she is similar to Selene, another being the tiny quirk such as dying her hair and pretending it is natural. I also like that there is a bit of synergy with Atomika’s character. Your character’s biography has a lot of ground for various sub-plots, not to mention the heavy motivations of revenge and whatnot. I imagine RMC will play a part in the main plot, considering its importance to Elysium and the military. We can discuss this more at a later point in time. Firewall: I hope you remember what the spirit ability Defender actually does. As long as this spirit is not exhausted, Aurelia cannot attack with her weapon. [@Archangel89] Glad to see you again. I think that Ito is a more clearly defined character than Aaron was. It feels as if you wanted this with Aaron as well, but it ended up being a half-way between many different things. Ito’s background plays well with what one would expect from the people of Hong Desa, and the sense of betrayal from Ito in regards to his parents’ wishes adds interesting tension. I do want you to write the personality section for Ito, though. I know you are going for the silent, loner sniper type of character, but they still have some kind of soul that displays emotions. There is no ‘wind’ element, change it to ‘air’. [@DJAtomika] Clear character concept and nice synergy with clericbeast’s character. The elaborate focus on his weapon makes sense in regards to the character type, and the cane-like form is a nice touch. Elaborate character relations! However, Eric’s relation to the Holy and Earth elements seem a bit weak considering his personality. I realize that he is trying to understand Libra-born, and that somehow pertains to Holy, but I have trouble finding justifications for Earth. [@Free Faller] Nice contrast to the other characters. I have never had any troubles with adrenaline junkie, feisty-type characters, but make sure that you do not fall into the realm of unrealistic recklessness. It is nice to see another swordswoman! I see that you went with a very Cloud-Advent Children type sword, which is cool. I liked that design a lot. Very well written biography. I liked the story a lot and there will probably be an opportunity in the main plot of the roleplay to visit Anatolia and Cassie’s hometown. Since I did not specify in which element ‘metal’ would fit, I will allow it to be listed under Earth, which does not quite fit Cassie’s personality or behavior. So, you can just write ‘Earth’ on the spirits that deal with metal. @Everyone There seems to be a good set of characters so far. I do not think that there will be any problems after the 15th and accepting. I am very impressed with the effort you guys have put into your characters and the relations that you are constantly updating. I will post Selene’s relations when the cast is set. Also remember that you can and should take care of your character sheet as the roleplay progresses by updating it every now and then, if possible. If you want to, you can add a ‘Trivia’ section at the very bottom at your character sheet. There you can add any kind of information that is very personal to your character, and that the other characters know. This will give a sense of realistic friendship, that they know these tiny quirks about each other. For example, I could add that Selene loves dark Chocolate cake. It is nothing spectacular, but a stranger would never know.
