It amuses me that you all think Jamie's shape shifting is an effort to hide who they are.

When in fact all Jamies appearances are just different aspects of Jamie themself. Not that there's been any indication of this. 

It just makes me laugh

And Jamie wouldn't consider Nero a dark mage. Just childish.

And he will happily point out that Free doesn't appear to be happy as a penguin. And that he surely didn't ask to be such a creature. And again point out that one success doesn't mean anything.
