Also, in regards to your spirit and their perception of the world; they don't definitely know what they are right now, though it's fine for them to assume they're disembodied spirits, or just resurrected people with amnesia. They can come up with whatever explanation they like for themselves. Whatever you feel would be the most interesting for them is fine.
