Equipment: History: Born in England, Jessica Drew was the daughter of Jonathan Drew, a Brilliant Geneticist that worked on controversial studies of evolution, genetics and cell regeneration. When she was a year old, her parents moved to a small estate on the outskirts of Wundagore Mountain. Within weeks, her father found large amounts of uranium in their property, which gave them the financial resources to build a research facility that could further their research incalculably. Life seemed perfect until little Jessica's 4th birthday, when she became ill, poisoned by the exposure to the Uranium that was so plentiful in their land. Her father, currently working on the regenerative and immunological properties of spider blood, seeing his little girl on her death bed, injected Jessica with an untested serum made with the blood of several endangered species of spiders, in the hopes of stopping the tissue damage and immunizing the girl from the Uranium's effects on her body. He then sealed her in a genetic accelerator created by Herbert Wyndham (A fellow Scientist) to speed the process, but it worked at a very slow rate. forcing her to remain in stasis for decades, her aging greatly slowing. She awoke with no memories of her past, to a world in which both her parents had disappeared mysteriously, and possessing powers that made everyone around her scared and resentful. She spent a lot of time on the streets, but remained behind in the area, Jessica eventually found work as a barmaid in a nearby village. She also experienced her first romance, which ended when it turned out that he was a Vampire... Moments before she could be bitten, he had his arm cut off by a man known as Blade, a Vampire hunter that had been tracking him. He kidnapped her and ran, getting to a place he thought was safe, but her fear in the situation accidentally triggered a bioelectric blast that killed her former boyfriend, exploding him into dust. Whitnessed by a local law-man, she was accused of witchcraft and murder, Jessica fled from an enraged mob into the countryside, into the arms of Blade who took her back to his base. Blade trained her in the ways of Vampire Hunting, martial arts, espionage, Her tactics integrated different methods utilized in Karate, Boxing, Capoeira, Judo and swordfighting. Over their many years working together, other powers seemed to make themselves known, such as her Wall-Crawling, Venom blasts and Super-Senses, Blade nicknaming her "Spider-Girl" After many years of fighting alongside him, they finally caught the attention of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division of the United States Military. The Vampires set a trap for Blade and Jessica to get them onto S.H.I.E.L.D.'s wanted list, by tricking them into killing a number of their familiars in full view of the public, using their super-powers. They were hounded, every corner seemed to have a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent around it, they split up to better hide. Unfortunately, this meant that they could no longer count on each other for assistance. Jessica was quickly captured and brought before Nick Fury, who gave her 3 options. 1) Go to a Maximum security prison for the rest of her natural life. 2) Give up Blade's location and help lure him into a trap. 3) Work for them as a spy. Naturally, only one of those options allowed her to continue her work. She was told to take up a special code-name. Her partners nickname for her seemed appropriate. And so, Spider-Woman was born.
