I personally find a bit bugging this bit of snowflake syndrome. Unless it is a strange unknown hybrid or known races I just find a bit stunning that with so many possibilities of races to choose from you had to go all out and invent one that may be an alien, which wouldn't really fit into the world just like that.
Now, maybe the race is a strange hybrid such as "dragon x demon" or some of that stuff and it is an important reveal for the roleplay, which could fit nicely with the settling and then I would be wrong
