Hmmm... If we're going with the whole "gradually recruit crew members" route, going to put Maisie forward as one of the first recruits so we can upgrade to an actual ship pretty quickly.  Would probably be old, cramped and a bit of a fixer-upper, but at least it'd be an improvement over a pile of sticks. XD
