Before Zac or Kelly could respond to his last statement, Icon grabbed them both and pushed off the ground with his powerful legs, launching the three of them into the air. After Icon soared for several blocks, he finally landed on one of the rooftops that stood below him. Once they were back on the ground (or rather on the rooftop), Zac stumbled out of Icon’s grip, showing that he was rather uncomfortable in high-speed flight. However, Kelly did not show any signs of fatigue. “Let’s do that again!” Kelly said. “Um, no thanks.” Zac muttered, still on his knees as he tried to recover from the short, but high-paced flight that he had just experienced. Then an idea struck Kelly. She has wings, so she probably could fly. The only reason why should would not absolutely know whether she could fly was that she never tried to fly in her wasp form. When one had been hiding their powers for the last several months, that person usually does not have the liberty for trying out their powers. She tried to focus on her four wasp wings on her back, trying to get them to move. When her wings had finally started to vibrate back and forth, as insectoid wings do, Kelly lightly pushed her feet off the ground. Once she looked down, she was amazed that her feet were still suspended above the ground, that she was actually flying! “So we just head straight in that direction until we come to Paris Avenue, then we just need to find 121 on that street?” Kelly asked Icon, making sure she knew the directions correctly. Icon nodded, showing that she had the directions right. “Great! Zac, I can fly us there! And since you are in your ‘raptor’ form, you are just the perfect size for me to carry, since you are around my height!” “No way. I had my fair share of flying for today, or for the rest of my life, even if it only lasted a few seconds.” “Fine, you can walk there. Good luck getting down to the ground.” Zac peered over the edge of the roof, seeing a several story drop. And for some strange reason, the fire escape was closed off, due to it being “out of order. Zac sighed and reluctantly acceded to the idea of Kelly flying them there. “Hey, Icon.” Kelly said, “I just want to say thanks again for saving us back there. We really appreciate that you gave us a hand back there and believed us while those other men were trying to trick you. Maybe we can return the favor someday.” Kelly flew over to Icon and plucked a small kiss on Icon’s right cheek. Once they both said their goodbyes, Kelly wrapped her arms around Zac and took off, flying toward the center of the city. “Why did you do that?” Zac asked Kelly. “Do what?” “Kiss him?” “What? He saved us. It is the least I could have done. Anyways, it was only one kiss on the cheek. It’s not like I kissed him on the lips or anything. If you are so jealous, I can take you back and you can kiss him too, if you want.” Zac just grumbled something under his breath in response. Kelly just took that as a no for going back, so she continued to fly on.
