I think your character is fine. By the name of your class, I would have guessed he had fire, ice, thunder attacks to augment your punches. However, your abilities are quite impressive. I like the gut buster. It sounds like it could ignore armor with that shockwave. You can blame your starting wealth the the fact you own nothing.

Your engineer is impressive. Just don't explode enemies while I am up close and personal. I do not want to get blow to bits. Don't worry about being so poor. If it comes down to it, I could cook for you.
