In the depths of a forest not many dare to enter exists two villages: The Kouga village and the Iga village.
These two village used to be one, the Mekyokan village. Why did this village separated in two different ones? 400 years ago, the last chief of the Mekyokan village died without leaving heirs nor someone to take his place, soon the two biggest families (Iga and Kouga) began to fight to see which of them would rule. The families fought for about a century yet there did not seem  be a clear victor, the families decided to abandon the Mekyokan village and build their own, the Kouga at the east of the great river  and the Iga at the west.

300 years have passed but these two villages still hate each other, although things have calmed down a little, in both villages the villagers train themselves for battle, waiting for any excuse to attack the other.
