Piece of Crake." Name: Yang-C (Real Name: Yang Chengshi) Age: 20 (21 in real life) Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Youxia Class Desc: Youxia is a very interesting as well as popular class available only in China. They are a mash between Warrior and Weapon classes, leaning more towards weapons. They are able to fill a variety of rolls due to their wide move set which allows them to tank and deal damage at good rates and support others.. It should be noted however that just because they are able to do so, having actual tanks or damage dealers will always prove more efficient. Subclass: Alchemist Bio: Yang grew up in an abusive household in New York's Chinatown. His mother died in an accident at a family reunion and his drunkard father has been cursing his mother's side of the family ever since. Unable to meet his father's ridiculous standards, he could only withstand the constant threats, punishment and scolding, often due to the most trivial things. At one point, he was beaten with a belt all because he had left his empty bowl on the table after he was done eating. Also being ostracized at school since he was not as smart as the other Chinese kids, while also not being very sociable nor athletic only brought him insults and bullying. Not wanting to become depressed and wanting to live a happy family life like the ones he saw in movies and TV shows, he always tried to smile and be happy, no matter how angry or sad he was on the inside. Because of this, he as gotten used to having to wear "masks" instead of showing his actual face. Unable to conjure up the strength to defy his father, he escaped to the online world of Elder Tales. As his real life was hell, his digital world was paradise. There, no one cared about his GPA, no one cared about what grades he got or how many activities he did. He soon made friends and connections in the game, and for the first time in forever, he felt like he belong somewhere. However, his father did no appreciated his "stupid failure of a man" child playing computer games and forced Yang to break the computer with a sledgehammer. Yang would end up crying for the whole night, not knowing what to do. To try and get a new computer, he started working two jobs outside of school and played Elder Tales on the library computers. Then, by a stroke of luck, he had met his cousin from China and Yang told his story to his cousin. Within a week, the two and Yang's uncle created a plan to get Yang out of the household. One month later, his uncle had sent him enough money to buy a plane ticket to Beijing. Packing his bags and his mother's jade pin, he ran away in the dead of night for LAX. He made it to the airport and China without a hitch. Once in China, he quickly got settled in with his aunt and uncle who was the brother of his mother, brushed up on his Chinese and went to the same school as his cousin. He also soon made a new account on Elder Tales and has been playing on his time off, creating new friends and companions online. While his aunt displayed some worry about it, his uncle (who works at an animation company and an avid gamer himself) allows Yang to play along side his cousin up in the game. It as been a few years since that point and Yang is now in his second year at Peking University, studying to become a teacher. He has started dating a girl and introduced her to the digital world called Elder Tale. Yang himself is a fairly powerful character in game after playing for so many years and with so much experience under his belt. When he isn't in raids or grinding, he'll usually stay in or near hub cities to help newer or lower-leveled players. He has even "tutored" some players through dozens of levels and enjoyed a somewhat influential position in the world of guilds as some of his former students are now in high places. When the "Apocalypse" occurred, one of his students had panicked and grabbed him before going through a Fairy Gate before they shut down. He somehow ended up in the Japanese Server with no idea where the person who dragged him in wnent. He is hoping that his brother and his girlfriend are doing alright and aren't caught up in this mess along with all of his "students". Personality: Yang is perpetually happy and smiling and strives to ensure that everyone around him is too, often making less then favorable deals or decision on his part for the sake of others. His happiness is hard to break with insults as he's heard nearly all possible insult and slurs from his classmates in America or his father and has developed a very thick hide to it, but there are certain things that will trigger him to loose composure and start crying. It can be put like a health-and-shield bar; he has a lot of happiness as his "shield", but beyond that, there is very little that keeps him from breaking down. He often comes off as rude to people he doesn't know, but Yang will still try to be and friendly to everyone and tries to teach and educate people as much as he can. On occasion, his weird Ingrish/Nipponese/Japangrish will show up in his speech, often with comical effects. In fights, he tends to get a bit cocky due to his experience with the game plus he has won PvP tournaments in the past. Weapon Specialization: Swords, Two-Handed Axes/Halberds, Crossbows, Throwing Notable Equipment: (Two-Handed Axe) - An rare weapon in Chinese servers, it requires much effort in getting one as it must be created by a European player, be reforged by a Japanese player before having to be reforged in China. It boast a high crit chance and swinging speeds on par with most one-handed weapons. The "Harmonious" prefix reduces the CD on melee skills. (Ranged) - A Chinese-server exclusive weapon, it is a repeating crossbow with a 6 shot magazine that does fire damage. The "Clear Vision" suffix makes dodging the bolts to be harder to dodge. Yang uses it when he needs to play support or when he doesn't have his axe. (Trinket) - Received as a reward for the Chinese event, the pin increases his defense against elemental attacks (fire, water, earth, wind) as well has increase the amount damage done against unholy and undead enemies. (Cape) - One of the few things he has received from his American Elder Tale friends, he keeps it as a momento to his time there and will often sleep it as a blanket. Despite its look, its very comfortable, keeping the wear cool in high temperatures and warm in colder weather as well as reducing the effects of slowing and blinding spells. Notable Special Skills (Active Defensive Skill) - Creates an extra layer of armor around Yang that absorbs a certain amount of damage from each hit until it breaks. While is doesn't render him immobile, his speed is greatly reduced. (Party Regen Skill) - Member's of Yang's party will passively regen a certain amount of MP and a bit less HP per second based on Yang's max HP and MP (Hate Skill) - Causes a large amount of hate in a large area around Yang. Players who used this skill too often were called "Dead Wishers" on the Chinese servers as using the skill will almost always guarantee the user dying or being overwhelmed. (Crowd Control) - Yang spins his axe around causing damage to anyone in his way as he moves around. Has a chance of blowing the enemy away.
