The two grips slowly rotated in opposite directions as they hovered on the table surface. Cautiously Akio got up from the chair that he was sitting on and stepped backwards. If there was one thing he knew it was that you always had to be cautious when presented with a scenario that you didn't understand, and frankly this had topped the list by a country mile. "What the hell is going on?" he whispered to himself as he looked around the minimalist room. "This is 'my' room?" He stepped towards the window and examined the outside world. It held the same properties as the surfaces that surrounded him; clean, crisp, and all with a slightly neon hue. As he got closer he heard a faint pinging sound coming from his table behind him. He twisted around to see a small yellow aura emitting itself from the knuckle-buster grips with every chiming sound. They were almost begging him for their attention. Akio held a puzzled look as he began to admire them. They did look impressive for some reason, especially with their black, gloss surface, edged with a red trim. He was about to head over and inspect them a little further but the tapping of something on the window threw off his train of thought. Instantly he spun around and was greeted by a curious little figure on the outside. It looked like a little round mechanical eye with a long wired tail just floating there. "Heh... So I'm on camera now?" he spoke out to the bot as he noticed the tail began to move and reel in something hidden behind the wall. Slowly stepping out onto the surface of the window was a large mechanical arachnid, each step emitting a digital pulse as it came into contact with the window surface. "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!" Akio swore as he lept back stumbling over his feet and falling to the ground. The arachnid seemed to have spotted him and the extension eye quickly zipped back into the body. Lifting one of it's legs it began to stomp it on the window. Faint cracks could be seen expanding out from the point of impact and Akio began to panic. "Wait... is mum still downstairs?" "Mum?!" He yelled out at the top of his voice as he watched this creature crack it's leg through the glass. "Shit! Mum!? You there?!" Stumbling towards the doorway he bumped into a force field barrier. Upon hitting it he heard the ping of the knuckle-busters. He looked over and saw them glow with that familiar aura at the same time the creature broke through window. He wasn't going to have enough time to reach them but at the same time the room began to pulse a vibrant red. "MUMMM!!!" Akio felt his desk chair slip out from under him as he fell to the floor. He felt the familiar carpet feel under his hands. His head pounded from an excruciating headache and his stomach turned. He ran, ran through the darkened house and grabbed a hold of the porcelain bowl, heaving up everything inside his gut. "Is everything alright?!" The light switched on and Akio's mother stood there in a dressing gown wondering if her son was alright. "I'm ok... Just a stomach... bug," he quietly replied. "I didn't think my cooking was that bad..." she spoke as she sat down on the edge of the bath in order to comfort her son. Akio laughed quietly,"Your cooking is fine mum..." The laptop flashed a brief message. ===WARNING!!!=== >Firewall breached!!! >Initialising immediate log-out procedure
