Aya blinked at the drink two drinks Jake held in his hand. Those hadn't been there when she'd left, had they? She raised an eyebrow at Nate's indignation and then his pride, a smile of amusement tugging at her mouth. Nate held one of the drinks out to her and she took it with a small 'thanks,' but then he stretched his hand out, asking her to show him where the boys were. "Oh," she said, swallowing her first sip of the drink. She suddenly felt bashful again, though she couldn't quite figure out why. Maybe it was that odd flash of… something she'd had the last time she took his hand. Maybe it was the fact that they'd just be two people randomly standing with their eyes closed on the beach and Aya could already see a couple of people giving her confused stares. But either way, Aya just held up a hand and quickly said, "We can really just walk over. They all have bodies now, so you don't have to go to the other side to see them." She pointed in the general direction, saying, "They're just a ways that way, in the ocean on some crocodile floatie thing." She began walking the direction she'd pointed to, fiddling with the drink in her hands. Was… was she supposed to say something? Nate was a social person, right? That meant conversations. Then again, most of his conversations seemed to be with himself. Perhaps it was less sociability and more instability. Aya turned her head towards him and opened her mouth to undoubtably shove her own foot into it, but then she heard something that stopped her dead in her tracks. She knew that giggling voice. "Cassandra?" she asked, stunned. She looked where the voice had come from and sure enough, there she was. Relief shot through her when she saw the younger girl, making sparks in the sand and sitting with some other people. Aya couldn't remember why it was so important to find her, but all she could register was how happy she was that Cassandra looked happy and safe. Forgetting everything else, Aya dropped her drink and dashed towards her, barely stopping in front of the group before she ran them over. "Cassandra!" she exclaimed with a bright smile on her face. It was then she realized she didn't know what she should say aside from that. Her smile dimmed a bit in embarrassment and she glanced between the different people there, giving a small shrug of apology. "I've missed you," she said lamely. "It feels like it's been a while, yeah?" [@Subject Zero] [@Raijinslayer]
