Magnolia...a rich and beautiful city, one that Alexi remembered well. She had visited the city during a festival when she was a child. It had been one of the best nights of her life. The lights, the sounds, the crowds of people watching the various fireworks, visiting the many stalls that lined the streets, and of course, the parade. The floats that had made their way through the large city had always dazzled Alexi. She had never been to Magnolia before this, living in a town east of the city. Her family had taken her and Jonathan, her brother, to the celebration. But to Alexi, that was now just a fond memory to leave in the past. Since then, she had lost everything... Currently, Alexi barely had the strength to move as she entered the city. Her hood was up, covering her sweat soaked face, and her protruding fangs. How long had it been since she had fed? The darkness she fed on during the night wasn't enough...it wasn't powerful enough to keep the blood thirst away. The Vampire Slayer Magic she had learned as a child had begun to change her, slowly turning into a Vampire...and because of this, Alexi needed to feed on blood...blood... "Blood...." she whispered, shaking her head. No...NO! She would NOT give in to the monster inside her! All she had to do was focus on the reason she had come to Magnolia to begin with...the Guild. Phoenix Wing. She had heard so many rumors about the Mage's Guild, heard of the powerful Wizards that were apart of it. Perhaps one of them...would be able to find a cure. And help her find her brother. As she continued to walk through the town, her vision began to blur, and she felt spasms wrack her body. The withdrawal was painful, but she refused to feed. She was no monster, she had to keep telling herself that. But the fangs that were protruding from her mouth, and pushing themselves into her gums, told a different story. How much longer did she have? She wasn't sure...but she needed to reach Phoenix Wing before it was too late. Finally, after what seemed like forever, she entered the forest that was said to hold the Phoenix Wing Guild Hall. A spark of hope swelled in her chest, as her heart contracted painfully. It was within sight...she just had to reach the doors... Alexi pounded on the door with the last of her strength, before collapsing on the floor, barely conscious. She was breathing heavily, her thirst for blood was growing....no...if they came now...while she was like this...she would surely attack them. But she didn't have the strength left to call out to anyone, to tell someone, anyone, not to approach her now.
