No issues with your post, [@baskets].  I guess if anyone wants clarification, all pilots will be given a standard issue sidearm (beam pistol) on the ship.  Military types can bring their own weapons as long as it does not take up a lot of space, so pistols, knives, etc. are fine, no assault rifles, shields, etc.  Your luggage is being shipped over to the ship so you don't need to be carrying it yourself, but you can if you didn't want to give it to the baggage handlers.  Your luggage will be limited, mostly civilian clothing for shore leave, personal hygiene stuff, and small personal effects, things that you could put on a nightstand or small photos to hang up.  Let me know if I left out any essentials.

Also rank goes in this order: Ensign > Lieutenant > Lieutenant Commander > Commander > Captain > Rear Admiral > Vice Admiral > Admiral > Fleet Admiral.

The HDF Evolution is commanded by a Commander, but the entire Destiny Squadron (all four ships) is controlled by a Captain who also stays on the Evolution since it is the squadron's flagship.
