Haden Jolendan Fiore /\ Magnolia /\ Phoenix Wing Guild Interacting: Jamie, Alexi, ([s]Beatrix Valente[/s]) "Where the heck am I?" The man marched through the streets of Magnolia, absentmindedly weaving around people as he attempted to walk and read a map at the same time. His figure stood out as a bit odd, but not all that strange, considering the concentration of mages in the area lately. Tall, armored with layers of darkened leather. And his uncontrollable hair. Curse that hair. It had ruined his last pair of scissors two months ago, and he hadn't tried to cut it since. "Excuse me sir." Haden reached out and put his hand on a random shoulder. The man looked over passively and started. It must have been his hair again. "Could you possibly point me towards Phoenix Wing headquarters?" The man silently raised a shaky finger and pointed. Haden glanced, and saw the roof of a fairly massive building. He pulled down the dark mask covering his mouth- which released a handful of sand in a puff, the same sand that seemed to leak from the cracks in his light armor every time he moved. Desert travel wasn't kind. "Thanks, hey if-" The other man took off before he could finish the sentence. Oh well. Haden turned and trudged towards the guild. He himself was non-affiliated with any guild, but for this kind of job, it was usually best to consult the local guilds before going to work. He needed information anyway. Haden folded the map, sliding it into a slit in his armor, just under the wrist. He wasn't sure what originally was supposed to fit there, possibly a knife or something, but the sheath was perfect for maps. From a pocket he pulled out the job requests. They were all on the same topic, and fairly straight forward. Capture Beatrix Valente of White Hydra. Some said formerly, whatever. Point being, find her, bring her in, rake in the cash. Quite a trail it had been too, across towns, mountains, deserts. The deserts had been the worst. Anyway, individually, the rewards were intermediate at best, but combined- enough to possibly settle down. Maybe even buy some land near his father, if he could convince himself to stop travelling. Here it was... Phoenix Wing. It's name preceded it by leagues. From where he stood Haden could see the crowd inside; the doors were wide open. Oddly though, no one crossed the threshold. One man seemed to be reaching through it though to give something to a young woman who was slumped in front of them. His pace slowed a bit, then picked up. He was close enough to see the red of the fluid on the woman's face before she wiped it off, speaking softly to the man on the other side of the door. Haden hesitated, and then approached- forcing his stride to go from hesitant to confident, dominant. "Excuse me." He looked down at the woman, looking her over for a moment. Nothing seemed wrong outwardly- it probably wasn't an emergency then. He faced the other man squarely across the threshold. "Excuse me, I need to speak to the guildmaster here." It wasn’t the first time he had to make introductions. "My name is Haden Jolendan, independant mage. I would like to request permission and information from the your Master." He grinned towards the end, to lighten the serious sounding nature of the request.
