The idea sounds like a made-for-tv B movie. Which isn't by any means bad in itself, Quintin Tarentino has made a career off of emulating grindhouse B movies for years, but if you go forward with this plan it wouldn't be a bad idea to recognize and own its hamminess somewhat. Go with it. Fill the RP with corny monologues and bizarre action and it could work so long as you get the right people. There is a lot to be said about trying out different styles of writing, especially since most RP's tend to fall into either "Hollywood gritty", or "Anime soap opera" styles
