"Once upon a time, yes, but you are no longer naive to the world you live in." Hearing what he said of her father she gave a wry laugh, that sounded very much like what he would say. "Not insignificant, no whole race can be called insignificant. The universe is a living, thriving thing; nothing and no-one is here by accident. But surely, to an ant, they are the most important creatures of their world? So perhaps there is a truth in it, but it is not so insulting as you would take it to be." She circled her finger around the edge of her coffee cup, but the steam still rose so she pushed it to the side, running her hand through her dark hair which thanks to her rush of a morning was looking more wild than usual. She wasn't sure why she was discussing the nature and balance of the universe at this time of the morning but it was better than the menial conversations she had heard snippets of across the cafeteria.
