That, during this war thing, comes and makes allies with some, and wages war on the others

Add more chaos
Some Lords would be sitting at their table, laughing over some other Lord marching on them, and then one of them starts talking about some [i]other[/i] strange people starting to show up, and they laugh again! Then a messenger shows up, with his wits all but frightened out of him, reporting that the marching Lord had just been wiped out by some lizardpeople!

And then they all decide to gang up on them, while two of the five actually go ahead and make secret alliances.

And then politics+war ensues :D
