Although he doesn't like most humans Marga caught him at a bad time in his life and managed to get past his defenses while he was questioning the beliefs he'd been raised on after having fled his home as a fugitive. However he [b]hates[/b] Thuboisii fervently due to the part they played in his parents' deaths, and once he discovered her mixed heritage his fleeting love for her twisted into pure hatred, fuelled all the more by his own feelings of having proven himself unworthy by having mated with her.

The whole situation also stoked up his xenophobic tendencies, making him even more untrusting towards other races than he'd previously been, as well as reinforcing his people's belief in their supremacy, which he'd been on the verge of walking away from until Marga's 'betrayal'.
