Innocent is hardly the word I would use.

Oblivious maybe, but not innocent. We all know, if Alistair actually opened his eyes and saw all these people fawning over him, he'd lay down the law right then and there and have nasty, dirty sex with all of them.

Asura is just taking a precaution 'cause our oblivious protag isn't going to be oblivious forever. Unless... well, maybe I don't know the laws of animu too well, but precautions are always nice, just in case.
