Trip through the Zeta was fast and quick. She didn't feel any disorientation nor sickness from it. Not because she was used to it, but because of her Cosmic Staff. The thing really came in handy. As soon as she was through she saw everyone immediately spread out until she was the last one standing at the Zeta platform. She sighed as she heard the echoing voice of Kid Flash tell Nightwing how they needed to "Haze" the new kids. She took the minutes alone to look over the great cavern. They were underground by the looks of it. 

Courtney rubbed her Staff a little to reassure herself. She could still hear Jack's voice when he gave her the Staff.

"[i]I know you'll see and do great things Courtney. Don't let anyone hold you down.[/i]" 

Jack had known of her rocky relationship with her step-father. Jack had worked with Pat before in the superhero business. Jack had said Pat cared about Courtney which was why he was over protective. Courtney thought it was only because her step-father's friend had died in the "line of fire" as it were. And she had rubbed it in by stealing his old tech and running about doing the same things. He didn't see Courtney, he saw his friend. Then Jack came along and passed his mantle to her. She didn't need Pat's protection anymore. She knew what she was doing.

Courtney sighed. The sound echoed off the cavern walls. Sounds of laughter drifted towards her. Instead of joining she pulled out her cell phone and checked to see if she got reception. Her lips quirked when she saw she had bars. Wayne tech wasn't crap for a reason. She quickly dialed up her friend's Mary phone. 

"[color=7ea7d8]You'll never believe where I am.[/color]" Courtney told her as a greeting.
