Brief bio: 
Luther was originally born in the German city of Heilbronn. His father, being a businessman or a 'yuppie' as Luther later began to call him was forced to move himself and his family to Edinburgh, Scotland around the time Luther was 8. Of course, there was still a lot of hostility to the German people around this time, and a lot of the older folk seemed to just dislike Luther right off the bat, but many of the younger people who weren't directly involved in the war accepted him as they would anyone else. Unfortunately for Luther, his father wasn't actually a very good businessman and as a result his company did not spend a lot of money on their accomodation. They ended up living in a rather rough part of town and by the time Luther was 19 he had to choose one of the many groups in his area to side with.

The groups were segregated mostly by appearance. The Mods dressed in sharp suits and rode around on mopeds, the New Romantics wore strange, space age clothing and hardly ever looked happy in any pictures taken of them. The skinheads looked like what their name describes them as. They had shaven heads, big boots and usually suspenders. If Luther had joined the skinheads it would only have made the whole 'You are German so you must be a nazi' situation worse. He decided to sort of half join the Mods. He didn't exactly wear a lot of the clothes or waste money buying a moped but he did mostly hang about with them. But that's not essential to the story. Around the time Luther was 22 he had joined the British military
