She still feels pain and knows what she can handle and still function by herself. She won't cut off anything that can't grow back or damage anything beyond a few days repair. Anyone else doing thing to her is completely unpredictable and that can very well have learned her limits. If she's under guard they wouldn't have a problem finding out what she could and couldn't do, so hurting her is fine. Tazers still affect her the same etc.
