Yes, only a slight one. 

We won't even know we have the powers right away. So, we wouldn't be a master, and wouldn't be able to use the full extent of our abilities.

For example. If somebody had earth manipulation. They wouldn't be able to bring down a meteorite. Somebody who can read minds wouldn't be able to read everyone's mind at the same time, etc.
