Before the start of Operation Catch the Roc Liam shrugged his shoulders the moment he was ordered to give the talking skull, Arcadius as it called itself, to Colette. He grabbed the skull again, which he had set down on the ground, taking care not to stick any fingers in its eye sockets, and walked over to Colette. He looked at her as he approached, and when she raised her face to look into his, he smiled and tapped the skull's forehead. "Hello" she said a little shyly and cautiously as she looked at the man before her taking in his looks before looking at the skull with a raised eye brow. "Is that the skull I need" she asked before looking at him in the face. "Yes it is," Liam said, "Colette, right?" "Yes that would be me" her eyes drifted to his tail and blinked suddenly curious and she felt her hand twitch. No no no I dont need this curiousity right now, I need to focus on the mission she told herself but the thought of touching the tail kept coming back to her. It seemed like Liam followed her gaze all the way to his tail, and in a reflex, it twitched. He also raised his hand to caress his neck. "I'm Liam, a Sannid. You've never seen one of us, have you?" "Um no sorry. I been stuck in a house by myself for 200 years after my forced turning to a creature of night" she said her eyes going back to his face before it back to his tail when she saw it twitch and she shook her mentally telling herself to focus at the task she needed to do and not...tails. "Oh, a creature of the night, huh?" Liam smiled and raised an eyebrow, "Like some kind of predator, or maybe... A ghost?" He said the latter with a small mock gasp. "No a vampire" she said blushing as she continued to look at thetail with twitchy hands in her lap. "Um can I touch your tail" she gasped and covered her mouth with a deep blush on her face. "M-my what..?" Liam grinned awkwardly, one of his ears twitching. He tensed his tail for a moment as he looked behind him. Then he relaxed and shrugging off the question, he sat down next to her, legs crossed and tail sprawled out behind him, smoothly moving from side to side. He buried the skull under a few sacks as well, so that it could not hear or interrupt their conversation. She turned her head to look at it with curiousity before she remembered what her question was and her face flushed red again and she forced herself to look at the ground. Liam looked at her face, noticed the blush and chuckled. With his index finger, he booped her nose, making a tiny sound along with it. "boop." "So, you're a vampire? That makes sense. I did wonder why you were so perfectly white." He winked. Her face turned redder if that was even possible as the tips of ears turned red as well and twtiched her nose as the skin there tingled from where he touched which bewildered her. "U um...." she stuttered out unable to form words. His tail swiped from side to side, quicker than before. He was thrilled. He leaned back, supporting his weight with his hands and leaving his neck exposed to her. "Are the rumours true?" He asked, "That vampires can't resist an exposed neck?" "Uum n no idea"she said trying to look at him in the face and not his exposed neck which was extremely hard for her. Liam scooted closer to Colette and in no subtle manner, until his loose clothing and fur were brushing against her skin, air from the swishing tail reaching her back. He looked at her intently, raising his chin a little bit. "Are you sure you don't know?" He spoke in a low tone, nearly whispering his words into her ear. She felt shivers go down her spin as she tried to move away but her body refused to listen to her commands. "Um...um...um" she said nervously her hands moving one brushing his tail by accident. His tail jerked violently at the touch, accompanied by a straightening back and a tiny yelp. "O-Oh!" She gasped and pulled her hand back "I im s s so sorry" she said looking at him with wide eyes holding her hand to her chest. Liam's face heated up and he couldn't help it when his tail, as if it had a mind of its own, moved over to brush against Colette. "I-I swear I didn't-" He interrupted himself, took a deep breath and relaxed, "It's fine, my tail is just a little... Sensitive." He smiled and pressed his side against hers. She blushed feeling his side on hers but didnt move as she wondered where all these new feelings were coming from. "I im s sorry. I h hope i d didnt hurt you" she said shyly. "Oh, you know that what I felt was far from pain." "W what d do y you mean, what else can you feel besides pain" she asked confused and a small part of her didnt't want to know but it was so small she ignored it. Liam leaned in towards her. He brought up his arm and, slowly, brought it up her back, gently pressing his hand against her and wrapping it around her waist. "...That's how I felt." She blushed a cranberry color as he did that and she felt her body shiver in delight which confused her. "W well..." she said having no idea what she should say. Liam pressed her against him and subtly took a whiff of her scent. That was enough for him to start wagging his tail. "I know how to make some great coffee. Would you like me to prepare you some when we get back to the College?" She nodded with a small smile "I never had coffee before. I would love to try some when we go back to the College" she blushed and hid her face embarassed. "Great!" He smiled at her and released her from his grasp, scooting away a step. "Don't let the Roc eat you, it'd be a huge loss to the department of interesting women in the College." She blushed hard at his statement but just nodded as she took the skull he gave her and held it close to her looking at him in the face. "Yeah... That skull's kinda creepy. Don't stick your fingers in its eye sockets." "Why" she looked confused which was very cute on her young face. "He says it hurts like a kick to the kit makers." He said with a shudder. "He?" she said looking down at the skull in her hands "Or it. I'm not quite sure. It doesn't matter, though." Liam said, then lightly swatted her with his tail and winked. She blushed more as she tried to get used to his attention. "I can't t to t try coffee for the first time" she said with a smile "I'm sorry Colette, I didn't quite get that." He leaned in and perked up his ears. She blushed "I c cant wait to try that coffee when we get back" she said Liam smiled "If you're nice, I might even offer you a cookie... Or I might let you bite my neck." He smirked. She blushed and looked up at him her face so red it was hard to tell her eyes from the rest of her face. At last, seeing her face so red, Liam could not hold it anymore and laughed. He gave her a quick hug and stood up. "Colette, we're going to have so much fun together." He said and began to walk away, playfully brushing his tail against her face and neck. She sputtered out incoherent words as she brushed with his tail and on reflex caught it in her small cold hands making the skull drop to the ground lightly Liam froze. For a long moment, he stood motionless. Then he turned. He straddled Colette's lap and put his hands on her neck, gently. He looked into Colette's eyes as he spoke, "That... Was... So... Soo... Unexpected." "U um" she blushed "I a am s so s sorry" she tried saying without stuttering but his close proximity was very distracing and send delightful shivers down her spine Liam let his hands move on to Colette's waist, and finally his tail stiffened and he stood up. "Not the time nor place to touch my tail, Colette... Though when we get that coffee, that time will be perfect." He let himself shudder in barely contained excitement, and walked away.
