"Tch... Come on, give me some credit! I've had way worse than this before, this is nothing," Takeshi said, grinning as he gave a thumbs up. To try and foolishly prove his point he let go of Shu and attempted to walk on his own, instantly letting out a wince as he placed pressure on his leg. "Ah... Oh that's tender..." Seeing no other recourse he went ahead and sat down gingerly, keeping his leg up a bit to prevent it from pressing against the ground. Such a pain in the ass, not being able to walk on his own. Given a bit more time he could just start using Ki and hover, or if the Namekians really were going to patch them up then he'd be fine to move in no time. Looking at T'charrl and frowning at how down he sounded Takeshi reached over to him, giving him a light hit on the arm with his fist and offering a smile. "We're going to be fine, don't worry about it. The Namekians offered to help us, and even if they didn't we've got the tanks back on the ship, you know? Besides, it's not like you're only here to heal us. It's cool you can do it, but no big deal if you can't." They had been through tons of trouble without someone like T'charrl tagging along, and convenient as his ability was they didn't rely on in. Maybe if someone had suffered a life threatening injury then sure, use the power until it ran dry, but some scrapes and bruises was nothing to fuss over. Ricken would be damned if Kiton wasn't punished for what he had done here. By running away and landing on Namek he'd inadvertently caused the slaughter of who knows how many Namekians, and on top of that placed them all in danger. Sure the planet was safe now but that didn't right the wrongs he had done. Maybe he couldn't dole out the punishment himself here and now, yet he was going to make damn certain the Frost Demon knew it was coming. "You could have gone to any planet between Kortal and here, and yet you picked Namek! Whether you intended to or not doesn't matter, what you did caused a lot of these people to die, and that can't be forgiven!" It was careless and selfish, Kiton had only been thinking of himself and not what ramifications his actions might have. Ricken was just disgusted by it, how could anyone put innocents in harms way like that? "I can't punish you myself... But I can tell you our leader isn't going to go easy on you, not when he hears about this. This planet isn't even supposed to be involved in the fighting, and now they've been attacked because of you." Getting a bit aggravated by the second the rebel stood upright and curled his hand into a fist, really tempted to give the Frost Demon a good hit to drive home his frustration. Well, someone was definitely struck, but it wasn't Kiton. Reeling a bit from being blindsided Ricken stumbled back, putting a hand on his cheek as he looked over at Haku surprised. "You little bastard..." "L-Lay off him! You're nuts!" Haku snapped, standing up unsteadily as he pointed at Ricken, "Maybe he did bring those things here... But he was trying to fight them! And he even tried helping us! And besides... Like you said, you can't punish him, so don't even try that!" Seeing the rebel getting all violent and intimidating like that sparked something in him, he couldn't just sit there and watch. The way that Kiton was being treated was awfully reminiscent of his own treatment back on Kortal, and he knew all too well what it felt like to be singled out and abused. Fearing some kind of retaliation he watched as Ricken scoffed and stormed out of the shuttle, shaking a little from nerves once he and the alien were alone. Letting out a lengthy sigh Haku sank back down into the cot, closing his eyes for a moment to try and relax. Neither of them were in any condition to fight, that was probably the only reason Ricken hadn't attacked back just then. Smiling uneasily Haku then turned to Kiton, giving a thumbs up before glancing down at his red knuckles, "I don't think what you did is great either... But I won't let that jerk pick on you." Viral was going to get better, of that Yumi was absolutely certain now. By the end of the day, if things went well, Aito would be back as would June and her friend's treatment could begin in earnest. The chance to see a healthier, happier Beastman made her rather excited and she couldn't help but dwell on the possibilities of what they might do next. Not only did she have some ideas in mind, but so too was she sure Viral wanted to do something as well. After all he'd spent so long either obeying someone else or being stuck at someone's side, so a chance to be his own person again must be pretty exciting. "If Aito is working then I'm sure everything is going to work out fine. He's the one that did a lot of the work on you, right? So he knows you better than anyone, even that Doctor Ikura person. It's safe to bet that when he gets working things will look up pretty quickly!" That was what she was going to bet on, and she'd keep to that mindset as long as it took, until Viral really was 100% again. Glancing around at the village proper she smiled at some of the curious faces of the Namekians, giving them small waves and laughing as she watched two children wave back then run off. This seemed like a nice world, she was quite glad they had done it a favor and gotten rid of those monsters. "Okay, but who's to say you can't have a new purpose? Or a new lease on life?" Yumi asked, glancing back cheerfully, "Maybe you can think of it as a sort story, and what comes next is just another chapter in your life. We'll help you figure out what to do, don't worry." The Elder's home, and subsequently the meeting place was only just up ahead. Though the majority of the town was level and flat there was a slight rise in the very center, and it was at the peak of this rise where the village Elder and his peers would meet to make decisions. News of something big being discussed must have spread as a few dozen or so Namekians were gathered around the base of the buildings, chattering amongst themselves and giving the group curious glances. Frowning disprovingly at this becoming a bit of a spectacle the lead Namekian stopped in his tracks, looking around at everyone before clearing his throat loudly. "This is not a public hearing, and I'm sure our guests do not appreciate being swarmed like this. They just fought a hard battle and protected our world, so rather than smother them how about we give them a bit of space, hm?" Publicly supporting the strangers like this might turn some heads, but given his status as the head warrior people were inclined to listen to him. After a bit more murmuring and some more glances in the group's direction he turned back to everyone, smiling slightly as he folded his arms. "Well then... I believe we're ready to begin. Anything you feel you need to ask before we enter?" "No, I think I'm well prepared enough," Sasha said, smiling slightly as she nodded her head. Truthfully she was quite a bit nervous, rarely did she ever act as a dignitary of sorts without one of her superiors present. Korian and Sayomi wished to broker a sort of alliance with the Namekians, which given their neutrality wasn't going to be easy. More than anything it was a pledge to protect the planet should any harm befall them, but she could easily understand how the locals might perceive it as a sort of invasion to their privacy. "I'm ready as well, let's get this meeting underway." There was almost an air of impatience about Vegeta, and he was barely standing still as he stared up at the building on the hill. Viral's salvation was inside of that building, and all that separated him and his friends from getting it was a grace from the village Elder. They were so damn close, finally the Beastman was going to be able to start the road to recovery rather than simply be stabilized as he'd been doing all this time. To think that they were at last at the end of this journey to cure Viral... No, not quite yet. There would be more treatments, more examinations, but his father would know exactly what to do. On top of that his mother would be there for support, and as essentially Viral's parents that was something no one else here could provide him. Smiling slightly Vegeta glanced at the Namekian, nodding again in confirmation before following him up the steps.
