He boasts vision on par with that of your typical harris hawk, as well as enhanced strength. He has decent levels of endurance and his flying is strong, however his increased muscle mass and tail make him a slower than the others. [/hider] [hider=Gila Monster] Jacque boasts increased muscle mass to put him above every member of the Flock in terms of strength, and is capable of surviving in extreme desert regions with very little need for food and water. He sports a four foot long tail that acts as a fat storage which can keep him going for nearly two weeks without a meal, even with his avian metabolism, though he must eat after it is used up or his body will immediately begin to cannibalize itself. Further taking from his Gila DNA is a vomeronasal organ in the roof of his mouth and a forked tongue, which heightens his senses almost beyond that of an eraser's sense of smell. Jacque boasts extremely powerful jaw muscles, a mouth filled with deeply anchored conical teeth that curve towards his throat to dig into whatever he bites, and a neurotoxic bite. The venom in his bite is lethal in large doses, however the delivery method is poor, as despite sporting a powerful bite, his jaws lack the proper muscles to compress the venom glands and inject venom, meaning he has to chew on his target and let the venom ooze in like an actual Gila Monster would. His blood is cold so he has to rely on his surroundings to warm up, which makes him sluggish and tired in colder regions. [/hider] [b]Abilities:[/b] Jacque is a very good pursuit hunter, often relying on his endurance rather than speed to continually chase his enemies to the point of exhaustion before catching and overpowering them. As far as noncombative abilities go, he's surprisingly good at sewing and stitching fabrics and to a lesser extent, wounds. He can cook as well, however it only applies to meats and the meals are usually on the rare side due to his tastes. [b]Personality:[/b] Much like the desert creatures he was enhanced with, Jacque is a tough and somewhat ornery bastard with a very straight forward manner of speaking. Despite his temper, Jacque has remarkable control over his actions and will generally hold back on acting on his anger unless pushed past what he considers to be a reasonable limit, even then he'll only dish out as much punishment as he deems necessary for a transgression, in other words, he's an "eye-for-an-eye" type of guy. Lastly, Jacque is tolerant of social interactions with small-to-medium sized groups, but would much rather sleep the day away if given a choice. He's on relatively good terms with the others, and despite him being the oldest of the bunch, he doesn't really show interest in assuming a leadership role, rather he's content with the role of an elder sibling or a caretaker. [b]Biography:[/b] Jacque's story really isn't that much different from any other subject from The School. He was spliced with the DNA of different creatures in the womb and pronounced dead at birth before being stolen away from his parents. For years he was used as a guinea pig as several white coats explored the potential for him not only to be used as a weapon against the Flock, but a tracker for escaped subjects, however the plan was ultimately scrapped due to the high probability for him not only to escape, but survive if deployed in an arid region. When Max and her bunch managed to escape, the ensuing chaos allowed for Jacque and a few others to get out as well. He's been with the second group of escapees ever since. [b]Extras:[/b] Thanks to his modifications Jacque can only properly digest meats, water, and small amounts of spices and dairy. His primary purpose for creation was to hunt down an eliminate the Flock in an arid region should they escape. Jacque has to be careful about how much he eats as his tail will store fat from every meal, too much fat over time makes him too heavy to fly until the fat is burned through.
