That's a bit harsh. After I was accepted, I was told to wait to intro my character until after 6th period which we would skip. I check every day for a few days of people finishing up 5th period, no problem. We decide to not skip 6th, so I get to spend another several days reading an argument over a music class while waiting. I tire of waiting to join a RP with such up-tight people with schedules and specific intro timings that characters must wait for. God forbid I stop checking OOC arguments daily to make sure I don't miss the moment I am asked to 'get ready'. And "wonder why they're together" is a bit of a narcissistic quip, as you are the one who placed me. I've had my intro post ready for weeks; I'm busy waiting on you to deem the moment appropriate.
Cerulean Sebastian | Arrival Cerulean Sebastian 1st Period Combat 2nd Period Math 3rd Period History Lunch / Study Hall 4th Period Armory 5th Period Survival 6th Period Music Could be worse. Cerul's schedule at Vacuo had been similar, Math being the glaring exception. Vacuo and its harsh conditions had no love for maths. What was the point in equations if you could not find water in the desert? Cerul thanked the student worker, turned away from the Administration desk, and headed back outside. He looked around at the classrooms and buildings sprawled before him in all directions. Cerul rolled his eyes with a dismal smile. There was no desert here; perhaps he would need Math. There was even a fountain, blue and mysterious, full of water and deeper than any fountain had a right to be. He took a deep breath. The air in Vale seemed all wrong. Thicker? Heavier? He had felt stifled ever since he had landed and stepped off the Lady Winsept. Winding his way from the port through the thin streets of Vale, Cerul felt the buildings might close in on him at any moment. He had only been gone a couple of days, yet already he would trade the entire commercial district of Vale for a few yards of sand and count himself the richer. "Then you're a fool," judged his city guide, when Cerul told him as much. Cerul scratched his ear--his Jaguar ear, golden and orange and peeking out through the layers of his smooth black hair--and rebutted, "A free fool." The gray streets felt strange beneath his feet. He and the guide did not trade many words, on his own part because the new city enraptured him. On the guide’s part, who could say? The guide showed him to Beacon and disappeared without a parting word before they reached the gates. A free fool he had said. A free fool with a strict Beacon schedule, still staring into the mysterious fountain. Cerul glanced back down at the parchment and groaned. Please pick up your uniform from the Armory before 1st period. Beacon must be more intense than his old Huntsman Academy. He had seen their uniform before, which included a red tie and was the last thing Cerul wanted. He had sapphire studs in his ears, and small sapphire gems in his belt. They matched his trousers and his hoodies. Red just didn't fit them. No. He'd get over it. He'd have to. Why was style so important anyway? Who was he trying to impress? Cerul reached up and touched his human ear, a reflex, but he allowed himself to feel the sapphire stud. He liked the gems. They gave him identity. If he had to trade his sleeveless jean jacket and hoodie for a uniform so be it. But he'd keep his gems even if they looked atrocious in red. His name was Cerulean, after all. Cerulean Sebastian. A true Sebastian would swallow his pride and would love to wear the uniform, Cerul admonished himself. Assimilate. He'd make father and mother proud. They needed him, and they needed Beacon. And Beacon wants uniforms. Cerul's tail flicked back and forth in a slow motion as his thoughts sped by. He realized he didn't know where the Armory was. Perhaps the school kept it hidden to prevent intruders from discovering an alarming supply of weaponry. Or maybe there were only uniforms and no weapons at all. A stream of students interrupted his thoughts. He smiled. Despite Vale’s apparent shortcomings, he felt adventurous and alive. “I’m Cerulean,” he spouted to a group of students passing by the fountain. He sounded too eager, what was he thinking talking to busy passers by? The group of them looked a bit bruised up and weary from the day. “Could you point me to the Armory? I would appreciate it much,” he finished.
But that matters little, as the OOC is full of GMs fighting and complaining about perfect post times, I've lost the desire to participate.
Aw, I meant that quip as a joke, full aware of why you're there. I admit that I was an asshole, and not very funny, but there's no need to exaggerate. I feel bad for making you feel bad. I don't suppose that saying that I'm trying to prepare myself for five AP tests will show why I'm on edge? You just had the misfortune to join right when a bunch of people are bailing, which rocked the boat a bit. I thought I mentioned four days ago that you were clear to post, but it'd be just my luck if I forgot and stirred your anger further. If you're going to let this get you down, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'll wish you godspeed good sir.
