He tried to convince himself that he was actually running to the scream they both had heard, but part of him didn't want to let the girl get away.

Once they came past the clearing, he saw Luz dragging something huge in her net. It was almost person-sized! Wait... It [b]is[/b] a person! Another mermaid?! [i]Oh shit, Luz will cook that thing![/i] he thought and kept running. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped as the girl he was chasing lunged at Luz. Is lunging at people all she does?! He could do nothing to stop her, as he had not yet caught up.[/color]
