Correct. Innistrad is just the place you've been brought to. You're all planes walkers from whatever plane you choose, and have been brought to Innistrad by Sorin for reasons. Just something to keep in mind though, a planes walker's spark is ignited by severe trauma. Whether from the process of everything you know and love being slaughtered, or from another planes walker violently assaulting your mind, you're going to have to come up with something that's left a mark on you.
