Froze just as he was about to plow down those powerful flight limbs, eyes shifting to the larger, dark dragoness as he snorted a light huff of breath.

"What?" His voice soft, yet visibly uncertain as he awaited his response. The flicker of miniature gem-like eyes, almost as white as the untainted clouds themselves, flashed over his back as they looked towards the golden dragon devouring parts of the sheep. No vocals emitted as she clawed and began to mouth at the spines along Ace's back. 

He barely budged other than rolling the shoulder joints were his wings joined to his form, his tail swaying lightly as he softened his expression and once more parted his lips, "Diamond stop!" his voice a tad stern as he shot a quick stare at the young one who immediately stopped, her expression almost comical as she silently complained and wiggled about.

Ace shook his head lightly and took a slight step forward, still watching the one female who'd spoken.
