Yakima watched the first shikai, a male by the name of Zheng. His shikai was different, becoming part of his body instead of transforming. THe effects most likely had to deal with enhancing his physical capabilities for Hakuda. Then came the next man, simple, didn't say extra things and just displayed his shikai. Yakima didn't know him, but he liked him already. However, his shikai wasn't as simple. If you could call it shikai.
