I feel rather that Nero would be a surprisingly good comedic partner for Karn.  They share a somewhat similar attitude in general, though Nero's is of course somewhat more morbid.

Karn:  "Wow, what a scary situation our heroes are in!  How can Team Frozen Heart ever get past the Oracion Seis's evil master Zero?"

Nero:  "Well, if they try really, really hard after Zero murdifies them, they can technically get past him by oozing along the floor!"
