You should see the accents out here on the East Coast. We got Newfies who nobody can understand (not even the fellow Newfies), Bay Shore guys (their dialect is a mutated Irish sort of thing), and my "Manitoba accent" stands out quite a bit. I've been to Minnesota as well, and even there, as close as they are, they pronounce some words differently ("roof", "room", and the like, as well as "about"). I'd imagine coming from overseas, someone like [@Andromeda] would have a fun time with it all.
