(yes, I know this image is used for the semi-well known Naptown Roller Girls back in Indianapolis. (Believe it or not I grew up in Indianapolis and with this team so I am using their logo. SHHHH :D) The Bombshell Brigade! The toughest, baddest, most rough and tumble batch of skaters this side of Los Angeles. Coming off of a last place loss due to several injuries and really bad timing, this derby team is ready to get back on the track and claw their way to the top. But will they make it? Or will the drama of the track prove to be their demise. Because we all know, roller derby girls can be some of the baddest girls in town. But they sure as hell have a lot of drama too. Some of the old roller derby team mates remain, but the Bombshell Brigade is actively recruiting new members so that they can take the National Championship again this year. Okay so this is my very rough plot that I have been formulating in my head for quite some time. It takes place in Los Angeles, CA (Shhh I love this city, I actually live here IRL)I wanted to leave it loose and open so we can play around with it and what not once we get started. I am hoping to get about 5-7 people for this, since a roller derby team usually consists of 14 members. Plus, only five members per team on the track at once. So yeah, oh and doubling is definitely in! If you want too, go for it! I just have a few minor things: 1) Let everyone post before running off with the story. You know how it is when you take a few days off because life gets in the way, and you come back to about 4 pages of roleplay you missed and your character basically was left in the dust. Yeah, let's not do that. Don't rapid post, give everyone a chance to post. I want everyone to feel like they are included and an important part of the roleplay. 2) No God-Modding, I cannot stress this enough. I have a three strike policy. You do it once, get a warning. Twice, and I give you another warning. Three times, you are out. That's it. Done. I hate god-modding more than anything. 3) NO MARY SUES. This roleplay is going to be nitty gritty dark vulgar and all things good about a mature roleplay. I don't want ANY cotton candy fluff "my life is so perfect" characters. Give your character some depth, some turmoil. SOMETHING! Make.It.Believable. 4) This is going to be an 18+ Roleplay. Now I know that people can lie about their age so merely this is just a disclaimer. Cursing? Bring It On. Fade to Black? This can be discussed. 18+ Themes? Hell yes. So you get the picture. This is going to be an adult roleplay. 5) Characters must be 18+ (It's illegal to play Roller Derby under 18 without parental consent. Plus, I really want to have this be a group of girls more or less in college years etc. Also, they can either be an old derby girl (from before the epic loss and downfall of the team) or a new recruit eager to stake her claim as the next Badass Mamma Jamma. 6) Romance is open to those that want it, and if you don't that's fine too. This is an all girls team but as anyone who knows Roller Derby knows, roller derby girls come in all shapes, sizes, and sexual orientations. Those of you who want to explore FxF can do so, at your leisure. (I might be one of these girls Ahaha.) A few more things before I finish. (This post was much longer the first time but the damn RPG deleted it when I tried to post and I lost everything). She treats life mostly like a big joke, enjoys playing with her chewing gum, and hates people who takes things too seriously. She's sarcastic, witty, wicked intelligent (though she hardly shows it) and driven. She knows what she wants out of life, to make music and be a derby girl for as long as she can. Izzy is the type of girl you will never find shopping anywhere mainstream, as she has a deep hatred for mainstream culture and society. She constantly cracks on people who are mainstream, and even people who aren't. Let's face it, Izzy just likes cracking on people. The funny thing is, she doesn't even try to be the life of the party, but half the time she is. She's wild, crazy, outspoken, and just plain goofy. But in a darker way, as her favorite color is black and that's mainly what you will see her wearing. She will advise you on meeting her, don't take her too seriously, because even she doesn't take herself seriously half the time. She likes to think of life as one big joyride, and she's just riding for fun. History/Bio: Izzy definitely grew up the oddball in the family. Her father is the manager of a medium sized bank, and her mother is a real estate agent. They are both so immersed into work they hardly pay attention to Izzy or her siblings. Yes, siblings. Izzy is the oldest of three. She has a younger sister (age 14) and a younger brother (age 10). She has finally gotten to that point that she doesn't outright hate her entire family, she just doesn't really like them either. She's always been different than them, ever since she was little. They would listen to Top 40, she would be head banging to Led Zeppelin in the backseat. They would be going to dance recitals for her sister, she would fall asleep or not pay attention...while listening to Aerosmith. It was always this way, her the rocker girl that her parents never really wanted. But after a while, they began to accept her with the same offhanded mediocrity that one would show a distant cousin or something. Izzy got used to it, once she hit junior high she was never home. She was always at concerts, parties, skate parks. You name it and she was there (unless it was something mainstream). Some people said that she went out of her way to be different. But really, that was just who she is. When she came out to her parents at the age of 16, they tried to be as supportive as they could. But really, supportive for them was really just more like "We really just aren't going to talk about it so don't bring it up". Izzy moved past it, sticking more to herself during her last years of high school. She had the occasional girlfriend, even a long term one with a girl named Desiree (Rey for anyone who really knew her). But that ended in senior year when they graduated and Rey moved to New York City. Now fresh into her 3rd year in UCLA studying music, Izzy is ready to try something she's always wanted to do. Roller Derby.
