Valerius | Cryo Room
Now that the ship was comfortably in transit, there was some time to relax and restore inventories. Whatever was left of the crew were going back to their old stations and restoring whatever they could, but most of the time it was people checking if any of the old junk still worked. Turned out half of it did, and the ones that didn't were destroyed by weathering and age. Regardless, Valerius was taking his walk around to find something to do, and spotted the one singular person in the cryo room. It was Anastasia, she appeared to be checking all of the cryo capsules one by one. He walked over to her, it appeared she was taking a toll count. As Valerius got closer, she was reaching for another capsule to activate. He could see the name tag on the side, and recognized them immediately. As Anastasia's hand was inches from the button, Valerius sprinted full-frantic speed and grabbed her wrist. He was in full panic mode and as Anastasia turned to him confused he was beginning to feel cold sweat build up. "W-w-w-w-w-wait... Y-y-you don't wanna do that... That one's uhhhhh... Uhmmm... Unstable. Yeah, that's it, we should use the proper procedures to take care of it (as in never) and uhhhh... Yeah...", "What? But the pulse is normal, if anything this one is in optimal condition" "B-b-but well you see... Uhhh... It's a ravenous man-eating alien! Yeah... It'll be the end of us all, like those ancient Alien films", it was clear he was pulling words out of his ass as he was trying to explain, using exaggerated motions to try and get whatever point it was he had across. Anastasia could only laugh a little, "Do not be ridiculous. These are all military personnel, besides, this one looks very important, 'Vice Commander' it says", she stated. "W-w-well we can get a new one! We don't need this one! Yeah that's it!" "... I'm opening this", before Valerius could say another word his face contorted to one of despair as Anastasia hit the button. There was a tense moment as the only sound was of the cryo chamber opening and clearing, but the first glimpse of it's inhabitant either would see was a figure in a kicking position, with her foot square in Valerius' face, sending him flying and skidding and bouncing across the ground. "M-m... Morning... Sis...", was all he could say from the floor.
