Paige tried not to stare at her roommate strangely when he didn't immediately shake her hand. But that just reassured her that Lincoln wasn't from Focal. She never even considered the possibility that he grew up in a different culture. She rubbed her arm as they walked down to the dining hall. She knew exactly where she was going, and enjoyed the slow stroll. "So, where are you from? Not to be mean but you're obviously not from Focal. I'm from here, so I know how we act around each other. Plus you're way too soft spoken to be from here. At my school if you didn't speak up and take the attention, you never got it." She opened her mouth to say more, then scrunched up her eyebrows. "I didn't let you answer." She said more to herself than her roommate. Looking at Lincoln, she apologized. "I kind of just went off and didn't even let you speak." [@_Middle_]
