“You stink like shit. And I can smell even down here.” Name: Jacques Perrot Alias/Nickname: He is most commonly referred to as “Jack” and sometimes people call him “Jaguar” or “Jackal” as a joke. His codename, used on missions, is “Feral”. Age: Twenty four (24) Sex: Male ♂ Sexuality: Homosexual - Gay. Despite his sexuality, Jacques will react to the pheromones a female emits when she is ovulating or in heat, due to instinct. “If this doesn't come back to bite you in the ass, I will.” Appearance:

Jacques has a rather rugged yet handsome sort of appearance, with his smothered back waves of chocolate colored hair that falls to his jaw, which always has just a hint of stubble; his deep, dark green eyes with slit pupils and rather long lashes for a man; his just barely protruding, high cheekbones and his devilish, sharp-toothed smirk. His skin is sun-kissed and speckled with dark hairs, stretched over compact muscles and calloused on the hands and feet.
Height: 5'4” or 162cm Weight: 172lbs or 78kg Body Type: Due to his relatively low height, Jacques often seems broader than he actually is. He is made of compact muscle mass that is positioned in a rather odd way for a regular human, due to his ability to run on all fours. Especially his forearm and calf is bulgier than what could be considered normal. Distinguishing Marks: Because of his mutation, Jacques has certain animal-like features, such as slit pupils, sharp teeth and long, claw-like nails. He also has some quite unusual birthmarks on his back, which appear to be clouded spots, much like one would see on a leopard. Clothing Style: Jacques likes to wear military style pants, with the many pockets, slightly loose fit and greenish to brown colors. He tend to favor white or gray shirts, whether they be button-down or simple tees. He always wears his light tan cowboy hat and his snake skin boots.
“You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.” Personality: With a sarcastic, rough and sort of morbid sense of humor, a temper that is not to be messed with and enough confidence for five, Jacques is an acquired taste to most. He is quite rude and does not hold back for taboos, does not care about being offensive and has little to no respect for personal space. His friendship is hard to gain and easy to lose, but he feels a “flock” like connection to other supers that makes him feel a need to serve and protect them if need be. When he speaks, he grunts, growls, hisses and purrs, in sync with the correct display of emotion. When he gets very angry, he sounds like a roaring lion. If faced with situations that are particularly stressful to him, he reacts by getting angry. When he gets sad, he gets angry. When he gets hurt, he gets angry. Really, anger is his defense mechanism. On the rare occasion that he actually feels happy, Jacques walks around tweeting like a bird, smiling like a fool and actually complimenting people. When faced with an ovulating woman or an animal in heat, he usually hides away until the scents disappear and refuse to talk to anyone about it afterward. Biography:
Jacques and Ruben were born in the early fall, when the leaves were just beginning to change color. They were born into an idyllic little family, with a loving mother, a hard-working father and an older sister that acted as their guide in the ways of the world. They had all the toys they could ever want, a large yard to play in and nothing stood in their way of what they could do but their own imaginations. Being twins, Jacques and Ruben were closer knit than most siblings. They did everything together right from the moment they were born. Even the first day of their life, Jacques curled around his brother for warmth in the crib and Ruben held him like something that needed to be protected. No one said a thing about Jacques slit pupils or the odd shapes of the marks on his back, because nothing needed to be said. It was clear what he was. The fact that Jacques' mutation was so obvious, made his parents keep a closer eye on him than they did on Ruben. And with good reason, too. About the time Ruben even learned how to hold his head properly, Jacques was already snailing around on his belly and by the time Ruben started getting into crawling positions, Jacques was already climbing up trees. However, by the time Ruben learned how to walk, Jacques was still crawling and showed no interest in standing. He did not walk until he was nearly three years old. But still, every night, Jacques would curl up next to his brother and Ruben would wrap him up like something precious that needed protection. By the time the boys were ready to start school, Jacques had already begun transforming. He could become a pig, a cow and a chicken. As soon as his parents had realized what it was that made him able to change, they stopped letting him try new foods and thanked all sorts of deities that had not yet served him anything exotic. School was tough. Jacques had a hard time concentrating about all the new things he needed to learn. He longed to be outside; running around and – doing something. He was not quite sure what it was he felt he needed to do, but sitting still and listening to a teacher drawl on about math was not it. Two years later, he was expelled for attacking another student and his parents thought it best to home school him, where he could get the perfect mix of work and play that he needed. As Jacques' control of his powers grew greater, his relationship with his brother grew weaker. Every day they spent apart, with Ruben going to school and getting smart and Jacques staying home and running wild, they drifted further apart. Within a year, sleeping was all they did together. Jacques would curl up next to his brother and Ruben would loosely drape an arm over him, like something he was allowing out of habit. When the boys turned eight, Jacques' animalistic tendencies had grown so strong that their father felt he needed something more. That was the first time he took Jacques hunting. It was great. Jacques learned to concentrate, focus and wait. His patience improved greatly and his need to be outside and run wild was sated for longer periods. His instincts to hunt, maim and kill whatever seemed like suitable prey almost vanished and he did not wrestle his brother against his will quite as much. While Jacques and their father was out hunting, Ruben was left alone with their mother, who took it upon herself to try and fill that emptiness she saw in her son's eyes and taught him how to draw and paint. It quickly became their thing and they did it every weekend while Jacques and their father was away. The brothers got a bit tighter again. The divide Jacques' power had created started to crumble away and before another year had passed, Ruben again held his brother like something precious to be protected. Life went on and Jacques even got well enough to go back to school during the week and spend the weekends hunting with his father. Ruben helped he as much as he could in understanding all he school stuff he had gotten behind on and the boys grew as close as they had ever been. Even on the weekends, Jacques asked his father that they return home at night, despite the fact that it would be much easier to camp out, in order to spend the night curled up at his brother's side. A couple of years later, just before the boys turned eleven, their parents got divorced. The strain that keeping Jacques in line put on their father and the worry that Ruben's hollowness instilled in their mother grated on their relationship and eventually tore them apart. Despite the fact that the twins were technically the reason behind their divorce, the parents assured them that they were not at fault. There was a lot of negotiation on where the children would live. The oldest was old enough to pick herself that she wanted to live with her mother, but the boys each wanted to live with the pother parent; Jacques wanted to keep hunting with his father while Ruben wanted to keep drawing with his mother, but they did not want to be separated. Eventually, it was decided that it was more important that Jacques stayed with their father than that Ruben could draw with his mother. That was when they moved away from their home, their country and everything they knew. Aside from their own belongings and their father's clothes, everything they got was new. The boys got separate rooms for the first time of their lives, but Jacques made short progress of moving his bed into Ruben's room, which greatly annoyed their father, but a low growl torn from his son's throat made him rethink his idea of moving it back. With their mother no longer around to watch and entertain Ruben while Jacques and their father went hunting, they now had to find an activity for the quiet boy to enjoy and the idea came to their father as soon as he found Ruben dismantling a radio car in order to see what was going on inside of it. During the week, the boys went to school, did their homework and played like regular children. Jacques was never exposed as a super to the school, instead having his peers think he was merely weird and he saw no reason to change that. Every other weekend, they went hunting and while Jacques and their father murdered innocent animals, Ruben sat and drew. The other half of the weekends, they worked on cars they bought from the junkyards, got driving ready again and sold. Jacques got a guitar to pass the time with while his father and brother worked and found that he quite liked it. Life was good for about three years. Then the Technopath came and his Crusaders were roaming the streets, killing people just like Jacques. The small family hid away, with Jacques taking control and leading them to safety while in the shape of an elephant. They hid away in a house that was barely standing for a few days and Jacques gave up sleep so that he could listen for any signs of the metal warriors that wanted him dead. But a few days was all they managed, because even Jacques had to sleep eventually and neither Ruben nor their father knew what to do if the Crusaders did come around. Of course, luck has a way of failing you when you need it the most and a Crusader did find its way to the house. Ruben noticed it before it noticed him and he hurried to wake up his brother, who groggily responded that he should take their father and run; the Crusaders only really wanted supers, after all. Although Ruben did not want to, their father was quick to tug the boy along and away from Jacques as the super changed from his human form to a rhino. As soon as Ruben and their father managed to get outside, the Crusader locked in on them. Despite neither of them possessing any sort of mutation, it lunged forwards and grabbed a devastating hold of Ruben's leg, crushing the limb as if it was a lump of butter and drawing an agonized scream from his throat. Fueled by fear, adrenaline and pain, Ruben lunged out his left hand, his right still in the tight grip of his father's, and released all of these feeling into that one blow. Something happened inside him and he felt the rush of energy that went through his arms and out his fists as it reverberated into the metal body of the Crusader, causing enough vibrations in the metal to make it shatter like a dropped glass. The vibrations surged through the arm holding his leg and he fell to the ground with blood pouring from the now-missing limb like a river. He automatically squeezed his left hand against the wound, not even noticing that he had been burnt by the heating of the metal as it vibrated. He never noticed that his father was no longer holding his right hand, either. Jacques, now alone, got ready to charge at the Crusader and was just about to head outside when he heard the blood-chilling scream of agony that he easily recognized as his brother's voice, followed by what sounded like metal clattering to the ground. Quickly, or as quickly as his body would allow, Jacques changed back to his human shape and, naked as the day he was born, hurried outside. The sight before him made his stomach lurch and his eyes water. Ruben was on the ground, panting and sweating, with a glossy look in his eyes as blood leaked in a rapid flow from his left thigh, where the rest of the leg was scattered around in bloody chunks. His left hand was pressed tightly against the wound, but even with all the blood that was covering it, Jacques could tell that the hand was injured as well. As soon as the shock of his brother's state wore off, Jacques hurried to his side and roamed his hands above his skin, never actually touching him and at total odds on what to do. He glanced around him hurriedly, finding nothing but bloody chunks of flesh and metal scrap scattered about. There was no sight of the Crusader, nor of their father. Finally, Jacques decided to shift to his rhino form again and within a few moments, he was carrying his unconscious brother on his back as he galloped through the streets. Even with no power, the hospital was still Ruben's best chance of survival. By a rare stroke of luck, they actually managed to get there alive. Jacques was not allowed in the room while a team of doctors and nurses took the paper-pale boy away. The surgery took hours. Jacques even managed to doze off bit and get some much needed sleep, despite the lack of a warm body he could curl around like he had with Ruben since birth. Eventually, a doctor came out and informed him that Rube would survive and that he was in chemical coma because he had woken up during the surgery and had literally punched one of the nurses flying through the room. Or rather, he had punched into the air and sent the nurse flying through the room with a shock wave. Luckily, the nurse was more startled than injured and had only sustained a sprained wrist. Jacques' first reaction was absolute joy. Not only was his brother going to be all right, but he was a super, just like him. It made his insides feel like someone had dumped ice straight into his bloodstream when he realized that it meant that Ruben was in just as much danger of getting killed by Crusaders as he was and that he had literally sent the boy out into the arms of the enemy, even if he had thought that it was his enemy alone. Before Ruben could wake, the hospital was raided as well and Jacques was once more forced to carry the dead weight of his brother as he fled for their lives. This time, he took it to the sewers, where he found the Resistance hiding underground. It was a couple of days before Ruben woke up and once he did and Jacques told him that their father had gone missing, he realized what had happened and pretty much shut down. He spent the next few months brooding and recovering, all the while being comepletely useless to the Resistance while Jacques went hunting, scavenged food in the shape of a cat, dog, rat and whatever else he thought of as well as found and recruited other supers to join them. After half a year of being useless, Ruben was finally finished feeling sorry for himself. He began making plans for the construction for his new leg and, at first, he had Jacques collect the things he needed. He quickly realized that his brother was an imbecile, though, and recruited some outside help from the Fixers.
Skills: Jacques is a quite talented hunter with a rifle; with his enhanced senses and reflexes, he can both track down his prey and pull the trigger before they can run. He is even more talented when in an animal form suited for hunting, due to having the physical abilities of the animal, but the logical mind of a human. He is also a bit of a musician and has played the guitar since his childhood years, though he plays less and less. Powers: Biological Alteration; Shapeshifting. The ability to transform and reshape oneself on a genetic and cellular level. Jacques' particular ability only allows him to take the shape of animals; and only animals that his body knows the genetic code of. He has to consume part of the animal for him to gain its form, whether it be eating their flesh, drinking their blood or even just sharing saliva with it. His mutation has the added side-effect of him having bestial traits even when in his own, humanoid, form, such as sharp teeth, claws and slit pupils, not to mention improved sense of smell, hearing and sight as well as extreme dexterity, reflexes and flexibility. “You're just jealous 'cause I can lick my own junk.” Other: Although born and raised in France, Jacques does not have as thick an accent as one could fear. It is not hard to tell that his native tongue is French, but he is easy enough to understand and have learned to pronounce his “h”es and “st”s. Due to his very high metabolism, Jacques can eat pretty much anything he wants and has to eat fatty foods frequently or he will get light headed and start trembling. This has lead to him eating some rather nasty things and he was at one point caught licking mayo straight out of the jar. Jacques is extremely claustrophobic. Being contained, unable to move or even just tied up will send him into a fit of panic, which usually results in him going feral.

“Just gimme a moment, I just need to finish this...” Name: Ruben Perrot Alias/Nickname: His brother gave him the nickname “Legs”, which caught on rather quickly and he is now more commonly referred to than his actual name. His codename used on missions is as simple as “Iron”. Age: Twenty four (24) Sex: Male ♂ Sexuality: Heterosexual - Straight “This might seem a bit weird, but can I paint you?” Appearance:

Ruben is a handsome man, with messy chocolate curls and warm, dark green eyes and sun-kissed skin stretched over lean muscle. His face is a mesh of boyishly cute and manly handsome that causes him to have a sort of eternal teenager look.
Height: 5'4” or 162cm Weight: 150lbs or 68kg Body Type: Although relatively short, Ruben's figure is quite lean and even comes off a bit lanky when seen next to his brother. Distinguishing Marks: Ruben lost his left leg in a battle against some Crusaders and has a prosthetic leg as a result thereof. He has some seriously hideous burn scars on his left hand, which he usually hides by wearing a glove. He has several other scars all over his body, but none that really stand out. Clothing Style: Ruben prefers a very casual style of clothing, favoring tank tops, tees and the occasional sweater along with sweats, jeans and the occasional slacks. All of his pants have had the left leg removed and zippered back on for easy access to his prosthetic leg.
“Would you hand me my leg?” Personality: Ruben is a soft spoken, very accepting person and sort of a pushover. Through his entire life, he has always had someone that was dominant, confident and sometimes downright forceful at his side that made it hard or him to do his own thing. He goes with the flow and does not get upset when he does not get his way. In fact, making him upset is quite hard to do as he is used to being mocked on a near-daily basis, even if it was not meant as harshly as it sounded. Despite being a friendly person, Ruben rarely, if ever, makes friends. He has a lot of acquaintances, but it takes extraordinary measures for someone to reach “friend” status in his mind. He has very little people that he actually cares for and even those are replaceable to him. When Ruben is happy, he likes to joke around and work with his hands, whether it be messing with his leg or some other type of machinery or by sketching or painting. He generally prefers to be in company of as many people as possible. On the rare occasion that Ruben actually does get angry, he just punches things. There is no need for yelling, arguing or name-calling; he will go straight from calm and collected to sending people flying through walls. On the even rarer occasion that he gets sad, Ruben isolates himself from absolutely everyone and nurses the feeling with terrible childhood memories, sad thoughts of the life he thought he would have and sketching or painting sad things. It is not his purpose to stay sad, he just naturally does. Biography:
Jacques and Ruben were born in the early fall, when the leaves were just beginning to change color. He is almost always carrying around a sketchbook and has a pencil stuck behind his ear and draws on a daily basis. He paints as well, though he is not quite as good with a brush as he is with a pen. Before the Technopath took over, Ruben dreamed of being a mechanical engineer. As such, he is pretty good at working with metal, machinery and motors. He even crafted his own prosthetic leg. Powers: Kinetic Force; Shock-waves Ruben is able to deliver impact of concussive force, whether directly or remotely, which can knock the target back and cause internal and external damage. He can achieve this either by direct physical force or through a pulse of energy. If the impact is delivered through physical force, such as a punch or a kick, the shockwave will reverberate through the struck target and may cause some serious internal damage. If the impact is delivered from a distance, the shockwave will feel much like being hit by an invisible ball or wall, depending on the distance, and will mainly cause external damage. The greater the distance, the wider is the area of effect, but the force is also weaker. Ruben's power is heavily impacted by his emotions; especially the distress he experiences from physical harm. Esentially, the more pain he is in, the stronger his powers get. Other, regular, emotions merely trigger the physical reaction that causes the kinetic energy to build in his body. Due to his very high metabolism, Ruben can eat pretty much anything he wants and has to eat fatty foods frequently or he will get light headed and start trembling. He oftentimes forgets this, leading to him being rather thin. This might also be due to the fact that he is quite picky. We've been together almost every day of our lives. But he's sort of fake. He'll just go along with anything that other people want to do, even if it's not something he likes to do. I might protect him a bit more than I should, but I can't help it. He's my baby brother, ya kno'? Jacques Ruben It's hard to say, really. Jacques is my brother; my twin brother. I love him to death and all that, but he's just so... much, sometimes. I really wish he'd just lay off of me sometimes, so I can get to do things my own way. And I really wish he'd stop being such a jerk to other people; he's making it sort of hard for me to make friends. Ilyaas Mahmud Al-Shabaab Jacques I don't really like him. I don't dislike him, either. I just sort of … nothing him. I realize he's there, of course. He's nice enough, I guess, I just don't really want to, ya kno', be friends or anything. Ruben likes him well enough, though, so I'm kinda dragged into conversation every now and then. Ruben Mahmud is all right. He's nice, easy to talk to and not the pushy sort that takes over the conversation. He's sort of old, but it's not like he can help that. I like talking to him well enough and I think I might even consider him someone I would call a friend. Jacques doesn't seem to like him much, though, so I try to keep him at a distance. Jacques, that is, not Mahmud. Piper Hannah Jacques You know, I'm not the type of person that really respect other human beings, however assholish that sounds, but Piper is one tough cookie. She hasn't even got any powers, yet she tries her best against that mecha-making jackass of a technopath. She's got some spunk and I respect that. Ruben has a bit of a crush on her, I think. I can tell because of the slight rise in his temperature, the distinct scent of his hormonal change and, well, because he's my twin brother and I know everything about him. Ruben Piper is, uhh, easy on the eyes. That's the first thing that comes to mind. She's also brave and cool and nice; I mean, she's got more going on that just her looks. She and her Fixers helped me get the parts I needed to construct my leg, so I'm eternally grateful to her. For some reason, Jacques act sort of different when she's around. He's not as … jerkish. He acts kinda like a dog, however weird that sounds. Wendy Jacques She reminds me of a prey animal. She's kinda … meh. I kinda get the feeling that she doesn't like me, though that might just be my imagination. Ruben likes her well enough, but he also find her attractive. Not “blood rushing to groin” attractive, but enough to cast an appreciative look at her when she isn't looking his way. He thinks I don't notice. (A/N I'm going by the assumption that Wendy wouldn't like Jacques too much, due to the fact that he is kind of a jerk most of the time and your description of her personality made her seem like she wouldn't like that since he is pretty much hurtful to people without a second thought, even if it is not his outright intention to be hurtful.) Ruben I don't really know how I feel about Wendy. I mean, she's nice and really friendly, but she always seems to be holding back a bit, like there's something more she wants to say, but yet doesn't at the same time. Jacques acts like a super douche to her, for some reason. I really can't figure out why. She's so nice and all that even Jacques should at least tolerate her. (A/N Again, going on the assumption that she wouldn't like Jacques very much, coupled with the fact that she doesn't like hurting people's feelings, she likely wouldn't want to tell Ruben that she thinks his brother is an asshole.) Naomi Mendez Jacques This chick knows what she's about. She's herself and she's proud of it; I can respect that. I haven't really talked to her much, since she sticks with her family most of the time. That's cool, though; I always have Ruben following me around like a lost puppy, anyways. I think she's just about the only girl that Ruben doesn't sneak glances at, though I don't know why. She's attractive, for a woman, I think. Ruben I find her somewhat aloof, like she doesn't really want to bond with anyone, but that might just be because she sticks with her family the most. Jacques tend to stare at her, which I'm pretty sure must freak the poor thing out. I don't know why he does it and I'm not sure I want to know. He can be a bit scary with his animal instincts and all that. Maybe he wants to eat her or something. Jeff Jacques Ignoring the fact that I want to lick every inch of his skin, I guess that I could consider Jeff something along the lines of a friend. He seems to understand the condition of my abilities a little better than most and he really wants to be a good guy. Of course Ruben likes him. He instantly likes anyone that I get along with, even if its' just a little bit. Ruben It seems like he really has to exert himself in order to socialize, but he does a really good job of being nice. Even Jacques seems to like him in a friendly manner, although he is not as stealthy as he thinks with his drooling. Katerina Sapienti Jacques She's shy and a total pushover. Not my cup of tea. Ruben seems to have the same idea. Even if he does appreciate her appearance, her personality is not for him. Ruben She seems very distant and shy and I kind of get the feeling that she just goes along with anything. Jacques says she's like me, but I don't really see it. Phoebe Evans Jacques I like this girl. She's sincere, she's herself and she actually want to know about my power. She's one of the few people who actually tries to get what parts of me are actually me and what parts are my instincts. It warms my heart, even if she is a little brat that I have to drag along when I go to the surface. Ruben likes her, too. He likes everyone that I like. He likes her more than I do, though, heh. Ruben Her enthusiasm in learning new things is really something and I honestly do like her company, even if I don't really care for her asking about my power. She's cute, though. I mean, it's not like... Nevermind... Jacques calls her “the pup” when she's not around. She might not know, but I think he's sort of adopted her. Kayin Okoro Jacques I don't like being around her. She freaks me out; especially when she gets all blank all of a sudden. I think the reason she freaks me out is, I dunno, her illness reminds me of what my powers do to me. I know it's not the same thing by a long stretch, but it's just ... It feels similar, to me. It feels weak, to me. Also, she smells. Not that she smells bad or anything, she just reeks of blood most of the time and I'm afraid I might go into bloodlust. Ruben is always so careful around her; like he's trying to coax a cat out of hiding or something. He's very careful with his tone and facial expressions. Kinda makes me wish I had that kind of control over myself. Ruben It's hard to explain why I feel the need to be around her, but I do. It's sort of like she's a child, even though she's the same age as le chiot, ah, I mean the Puppy - the Phoebe - Phoebe. She's having trouble sleeping, too, like I do when Jacques isn't here. I've considered asking her to sleep with me, non, pas droit, I mean, like sleep next to me not the... other thing. I'm not like that. Jacques seems terrified of her. I guess he can sense something that I can't, or maybe he's just uncomfortable with her condition. It's hard to say and we never really talk of big, important things like that.
