Everything was over. Nothing mattered to Kidd at this point. The other captive had somehow come in contact with someone before it was cut short by another beating from their captors. There was no way whomever the male human had contacted would miraculously appear and sweep them away from this situation now. Not to mention the bomb implanted within the body of the aforementioned male, which was ticking away even at the moment the Furlyne had these despairing thoughts. This was hopeless. The situation was already as grim as it can get, his life just had to end once again, this time in a literal sense, under a custody like he once was in years ago. But this time, his sentence was to be sent to the death row. Yet again accused for something he had not done. Spying? Just how would formerly being a mechanic at the military consider him to be a spy? But that didn't matter now, not anymore. Kidd trembled and shivered quietly in fear while the other captive whispered meaningless words of encouragement to the boy, saying his friend will be on their way to the rescue and that at least the Furlyne would be saved. He kept his mouth shut towards the man, he didn't know how to respond as he seriously doubted that small light of hope would come through. It was only a matter of minutes before the final moment when there was a huge commotion at one side of the ruined city about a few bunch of insane soldiers of some sort taking down their men one by one like flies. They couldn't be. Could they? Were they the "friends" the man contacted with? Just before the Furlyne could ponder on that thought, the men who kept an eye on them were down on the ground, either dying or unconscious. Then a sight of a female human [?] with mechanical limbs. Before he could manage a reaction to how crazy that was and how this was too good to be true to be happening, he was carried off away from the scene. Beep. Beep. Beep. BOOM. Eyes wide open at the scene before him, the Furlyne felt ill at the awful splash of blood and meat, barely held in the puking sensation by pressing his hand on his lips. Just when he thought he had calmed down a little from what had all happened, he was thrown to a seat. "OW! Hey, watch it! Is that how you treat all your rescued captives?!" On the spur of the moment, he yelled at the irresponsible rescuer, temporarily putting aside the grim moment before his lips curved downward in a frown and his gaze fell to the floor. A suggestion was given by one of the other rescuers for the Furlyne to speak but his ears slightly twitched at the mention of "little" cat boy. "For the record, I'm not a "little" cat boy, I've been living for 42 years. And..... thanks. I was sure I was a goner back then, even if that guy kept insisting his friends were gonna come and rescue us. And you guys actually did. But.... it was too late to dissect the bomb outta him. He wasn't such a bad guy... He took the beating for me when those bastards threatened me to spill the beans about some trash about spying. Though I still don't get why we were thrown in there in the first place." He paused when a-- what was this human-like black energy creature anyway? Whatever he was, he offered a cup of some sort of drink to Kidd. Before doing anything, the Furlyne stared and sniffed at the drink. This familiar scent... It had milk in it! Without hesitation, the boy blew on the hot drink and gulped down the whole royal milk tea in one go then released a satisfied sigh before putting on a more serious expression once again. "That was pretty great! Alastair, was it? Thanks. The name's Kidd, a Furlyne mechanic. And 100 years? Whatcha going on about?"
