Morning had arose when Roland had woke from a somewhat rough sleep, due to the fact that he offered to sleep on the couch instead of his own bed. But of course he wasn’t going to be selfish about it either because he knew of what troubles had been happening with Avery, so he wanted her to at least get one good night of sleep before she had gone back to all of the nightmares that had awaited her. As Roland began to get up, he noticed as he looked over to the side that Steven was there just watching him without moving, and to Roland, it was purely creepy and disturbing. “So, how was all that tossing and turning for ya?” asked Steven, seeing it was funny to him that Roland appeared to have a rough night of sleep. “It wasn’t the best I’ll admit,” replied Roland, “But I’ve had worse. What time is it?” Roland had hoped that because of the little bit of sleep that he had that it wasn’t going to affect the proper time he had to get ready and head to school, so hopefully Steven would be honest with him. “It’s 7:29.” replied Steven, looking over at the clock in the kitchen so that he could tell the exact time to Roland as he continued speaking. “And from the looks of it, you’ve only got……oh wait……now only thirty minutes to get to school.” Roland’s eyes had became big in surprise, and without hesitating or saying anything, he rushed into his room and began to get himself ready for school as quickly as possible while Steven stood with his arms crossed, laughing due to amusement. After a few minutes, and a big rush, Roland and Steven had arrived at school just in time to begin their first class. As the both of them walked into the classroom together and took their seats, Roland had looked around the room to spot that certain someone again, seeing that everyone else was inside and ready to begin the day, but unfortunately, and shockingly, she wasn’t there. As the teacher had walked in and class started to begin, Roland began to think to himself that something wasn’t right. Avery wasn’t in school, usually it being the only time of day where she could get away from her destructive father, so something had to have came up. What might have happened he didn’t know, but he knew for certain that something was wrong, and he knew that he had to find someway to find her and find out.
